Hello again from OOTP Developments!
Just in time for the playoffs, we have some new news for you related to OOTP 9! Another patch with some great new features, and a special discounted price promotion! OOTP 9.2.2 Released!
We are proud to announce one more patch for OOTP 9, making what we think is already a great game that much more so! We've spent a great deal of time over the past few months working and reworking the code, and we've been able to fix just about every problem that we could regularly reproduce.
On top of the standard fixes (See here for a full list of fixes in version 9.2.2), we have also continued to refine OOTP's artificial intelligence and player development models, and two new features have also been added:
We didn't stop there, either! With some excellent help from our beta team, we've also made some substantial improvements to the play-by-play mode. The text itself is improved, as is the flow of the games. More stats and rankings are now mentioned during play-by-play as well. Improvements have also been made to the overall in-game text, such as news stories! In all, we feel that 9.2.2 is a tremendously fun and polished baseball game. In all likelihood, this will be the last patch for OOTP 9, as we switch our focus to begin working on our next award-winning game! The full setup file for OOTP 9 is a little over 200 MB. If you have a broadband connection, we recommend you download the full setup file and simply install it over your current OOTP 9 installation. If you do not want to download the full setup file, for example if you are on dial-up, you can also download just a 10 MB updated OOTP program file. For more information on these options and detailed instructions, visit here if you have the PC version of the game, or here if you have the Mac version. Important: If you downloaded and installed version 9.2.0 in the past week, we highly recommend using this new patch instead! OOTP 9 Special Promotion - Save $10!
The final patch is out! What better time to buy the game if you'd been holding off? Well, NOW is a better time. For the next week, you can buy OOTP 9 at a 25% discount: $29.99 for U.S. customers and those outside of Europe, or 29.99 € for customers in Europe! Even at full price, we still think OOTP 9 is a steal, but this is your last chance to get in at a promotional price until our next product is released! Remember: at this discounted price, if you spend just 10 hours playing OOTP, it will have cost you
just $3 per hour. Compare that to a night out at the movies for two
with popcorn and a soda, which is likely to cost you $40 for 2 hours,
and you'll see that a game like OOTP is a tremendous entertainment
value :) Frankly, once you get started, we think it's more likely you'll
spend 100 hours on the game than 10! The discount lasts from October 9th through October 16th.

Remember, a fully playable version of
the OOTP 9 demo is always available for download on our downloads page. In the past people have complained
that our demo was too limited. Well, not any more! The OOTP 9 demo is
valid for 10 "real-world" days, and can play up to one and a half seasons in-game,
so now you can easily play through a full season and really get a feel
for the entire OOTP experience.
You can purchase and license the game anytime, without downloading it again. You will not lose your saved games when you license the OOTP demo. If you've been on the fence about whether or not to buy OOTP 9, you've run out of excuses! If you're a fan, encourage a friend to take a test drive. Give us a try, we think you won't regret it!
