Is OOTP Your Perfect Fit?

"It's amazing how much can be done with OOTP," John LaRue writes at The Droid You're Looking For. His article offers one of dozens of wildly enthusiastic reviews of OOTP 14, which is quickly becoming the best-selling version of our game yet.

You can see all of those reviews on our new OOTP 14 Reviews page. If you haven't taken the plunge and downloaded OOTP 14 yet, we hope you'll do so soon :)

Peter Burns: OOTP is the "Perfect Fit"

LaRue isn't the only one singing OOTP's praises: We recently conducted an interview with Mile High Sports Radio's Peter Burns, who grew up a Rangers fan and now talks about the Rockies on air with other passionate baseball fans. "I'm a little nicer to the Rockies' front office after seeing what can happen in OOTP," he says.

You can read more about him in our article, including an incident with Nolan Ryan that made him realize "OOTP is the game for me."

Congratulations to Grand
Championship League Winner PEBA

The first edition of the Grand Championship League (GCL) is in the books, and PEBA defeated Federal International, four games to one, to capture the title. Congratulations to PEBA co-GMs Aric Kinast and Jon Rosenblatt, as well as all the other members of that long-running online league. You can read all about the 2-1 Game 5 thriller on the GCL website.

Coincidentally, John Rodriguez, the first commissioner of PEBA and its sister league, the League of the Rising Sun (LRS), recently wrote an excellent recap of that OOTP world's first decade in existence. Titled The PEBAverse: Greatest Hits From the First 10 Years, Rodriguez's e-book offers a glimpse into what he says is "a world where people from clashing cultures find common ground, where life-changing advice is found halfway across the world."

The New York City Meet-and-Greet

Thanks to everyone who attended our meet-and-greet at The Mean Fiddler in New York City on May 31! A good time was had by all. We enjoyed meeting other OOTPers in person, and the conversations were a nice mix of general baseball talk and thoughts on the game. We even had some great discussions about Franchise Hockey Manager.

We are now back at work and will release a new OOTP 14 update soon, so stay tuned!
