FHM 2015: The Road to Release

Work continues on FHM 2015, and we hope to announce a release date soon. While you're waiting, we've published two entries in the game's Road to Release series on our blog:

  • We started with a tour of the new interface, which includes not only a redesigned layout but also a revamped History screen, a new World menu, and much more.
  • We followed that up with a stroll through the new fictional league creator, which is the access point for a fictional mode we redesigned from the ground up with two goals in mind: making it fun to play and keeping it as stable as possible.

We're also still working on FHM 2014's final major update, which will feature a revamped match engine that will be included in FHM 2015 too. Stay tuned for more news.

"A More Realistic Baseball Experience," Says YouTube Star Ian Vogt

Ian Vogt is well-known for his Strait Outta Boston YouTube channel, where he began posting videos of his MLB The Show sessions in July 2012. He felt something was lacking from that game, but he found what he was looking for in OOTP 15, which became a staple in his video upload rotation.

Our latest blog post details his background and why he says: "The most attractive part of OOTP to me is the realism. The attention to detail for every transactional rule in baseball is astounding, unlike any other game of any other sport I have played." Don't forget to check out his memorable 2019 ALCS between the Astros and the Twins.

OOTP Tips and Tricks: Hall of Fame Calculator

Looking for a way to properly calculate requirements for the Hall of Fame in your custom league? Forum user dmytron has created a handy little utility and posted a link to it on our forum. If you're a Mac user, it's been confirmed that it will run in the free program WineBottler. And for those who want an Excel version, fellow forum member Ike348 has created one.

That's it from us. See you next month!
