Out of the Park Developments, the premier developer for US sports simulation games, is expanding and currently hiring for the following position:

Marketing / PR Professional

Out of the Park Developments is seeking a PR and marketing professional who can work with the media and customers to help increase sales and awareness of its games: Out of the Park Baseball for PC/Mac/Linux, MLB Manager for iOS/Android, and Franchise Hockey Manager for PC/Mac. The company is currently developing Beyond the Sideline Football for PC/Mac and that person will be expected to work on that title too, as well as any other games that may be created in the future.

This person must not only enjoy baseball, hockey, and American football, along with other sports, but also appreciate the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. They should know the histories of those sports and enjoy the stories behind them, not just the names and stats, so they can help tell the stories of OOTP Developments' games. They likely have their own team allegiances but must be able to remain impartial when representing the games and the company.

This person should ideally have experience performing PR and/or marketing functions, preferably within the sports and/or video game industries, and should have a relevant educational background. They should have a keen eye for detail and must excel at written and verbal communication, with a balanced personality and a good sense of humor.

The person filling this position must be able to carry out the following tasks:

• Work with sports and video game media on reviews and news coverage, as well as special events, such as contests. This is the most important task, we are looking to significantly expand the number of reviews and press coverage of the game.
• Write newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and other text as needed
• Maintain and grow the games' Twitter and Facebook accounts
• Represent the company on the company's forums, Reddit, the Steam forums, Twitch and other public-facing sites
• Conduct interviews with podcasts, online radio shows, and satellite and traditional radio shows
• Perform other PR and marketing tasks as needed
